Pualani I and II are inspired by morning glory flowers growing low on the beach. Each ceramic element of the Pualani series is in conversation with the artist’s wider series of ceramic installations. While natural forms found in the ocean are the main influence of her artwork, the morning glory growing on the beach has always fascinated Jisoo during her experiences at the ocean’s edge. The flowing lines of the ceramic flowers and organic composition of the installation are alive with the beauty and eternity of nature.
